Love the theme, how do I change the word 'portfolio' in portfolio links? Say instead of example.com/portfolio/item1 I want the link to say example.com/gallery/item1
Please advise, thanks
There is not an option for this at this time. To modify the "portfolio" string you need to do so PHP modifications.
We for sure will consider this option in the next update, which is coming soon! I'll let you know.
Thanks for your response. I'm happy to make necessary edits in source files. I have some programming experience and would love to get some pointers as to which file(s) I should adjust, if that's not too much to ask. I understand this will be overwritten with the next update, but that's fine.
Great. I'll let the dev team and they will reply with sime general steps hopefully today!
I made the change and that changed the links. However, those (new) links return a 404 - saying oops there's nothing here. I tried changing the portfolio item's name/slug and that causes the (new) link to update onsite, but the link itself remains "dead" and the content doesn't show up.
Is there something I'm missing?
Oh absolutely, just gave you a 5star there, the theme is absolutely beautiful!
You can provide the wordpress login details and the link to the website and we can check!
If so please mark your reply as private!
All done, you forgot to change the permalinks
Amazing, thanks so much! :)
Hi, what changes need to be done to change the portfolio permalinks? Thanks in advance!
dorianvasco can you be more explicit?
Hi, I opened a new ticket, but I love to explain it here i detail, too:
After creating a few portfolio pages in wordpress, their URL looks like http://mydomain.me/portfolio/myproject
Well, I use the portfolio items more as projects and I want to rename the url slug -> http://mydomain.me/projects/myproject
It that possible? I already browsed all the theme php files but did not find any reference to that url thing.
Kind regards, Dorian
in FTP go to wp-content/plugins/kungfu-framework/inc and replace class.portfolio.php with the one we have attached!
then go to WP Dashboard>Settings>Permalinks and set Post Name and save.
It should appear projects instead of portfolio.
Let me know if you managed!
PS in the attached file you can replace projects with any slug you want!
Attached files: class.portfolio.php
Works like a charm! Thanks a million
